Wedding bells -

Two days ago, Wednesday 20th March, I traveled to Bluewater to meet a well established professional photographer.

Our talks were largely for her to know a little bit more about myself and what I have done within photography to date. But she also gave me insight on what to expect and how to prepare and practice for wedding shoots.

Our meetup went well and I'm pleased to tell you, that my first wedding shoot will likely be taking place July 25th of this year.

I'm very grateful for the accommodation and help I have been shown. Even offering to travel out from London to meet halfway. The photographer in reference is Lynsey Grace, here's her website: www.lynseygracephotography.com

Rain, wind and hail -

When it rains, it also hails and blows a gale. The weather wasn't exactly favourable, but despite this, it was still an enjoyable walk in an area that I haven't visited for many years.

Spring warmth -

These past few days have seen some beautiful, warm and sunny spring weather. So, I took advantage and headed out, with Sally, to take some pictures in the reserve.

The lakes were frozen in the stillness of the wind. Another world lied, upside down and back-to-front, without a blemish.

Cliffe pools in pictures -

A couple of days ago, via Facebook, I revealed the identity of the project I've been working hard on and have been briefly mentioning within past weeks.

The project is a photobook, I'd like to share it with you today.

Living in Cliffe the entirety of my life, it's no surprise that I've spent a great deal of time within the reserve. Many of my favourite memories were made there, many of my pictures taken there. Heck, the reserve is what allowed my photography to grow into something more than the occasional shot taken without much care for its composition, subject or meaning. They were just shots I took to capture a moment, nothing more.

Now photography is a huge part of my life.

The beauty of the landscape and the wonder of its ruins inspired me to take pictures for more than the memory of a particular moment in time. It made me think about what I was capturing, how I was capturing it and why.

I have now captured many of my favourite pictures within the reserve.

This photobook will focus on the shots that capture areas of the reserve I feel are most important, to not only me, but the people of Cliffe and anyone else who is interested.

Here is a sneak peek:

Tying up loose ends -

I have spent today refining shop details on Etsy itself and elsewhere. I have now added titles, links and locations to all product images posted to Facebook (Picture below) this is something I had been meaning to do but had simply forgotten until today.

I spent 3 hours plus yesterday watching, reading and absorbing a whole lot of information regarding business start-ups. Time more than well spent and I have already put some of what I've learnt into action.

Lastly. Happy Spring! Spring is a season of change and a season we typically associate with cleaning, decorating and improving our homes. So, get started! www.etsy.com/shop/whiteglare
